We've all been wondering what the price will be for Vista, and now Microsoft is telling us what to expect.

According to a press release from Microsoft, they let a group of technical customers have access to Windows Vista RC1 on Sept. 1 . With plans to release the latest revision to those who are currently involved in the Windows Vista Customer Preview Program later this week, they also announced plans to allow more people to register for the Beta testing program in the very near future.

At the same time Microsoft also told us what the "estimated retail pricing" on the full product would be. Check out the numbers:

  • Edition / Full / Upgrade
  • Home Basic / $199 / $99
  • Home Prem. / $239 / $159
  • Business / $299 / $199
  • Ultimate / $399 / $259
  • Enterprise (only available to Volume License Customers

Its good to finally see how much the long awaited Vista will cost us once it gets here.
